Some vocalists are great performers and have an excellent sense of rhythm — but fall just short when it comes to being on pitch. Rarely is a studio recording without pitch issues; the good news is that it's better to have a great performance that's pitchy than a so-so performance that hits every note in the middle. ALL major label artists tune and time their studio vocals to get the best product possible.
Thanks to modern technology, we can fix just about any pitch issue. For that matter, if the timing is off, we can fix that too. We do natural-sounding tuning to crystallize your vocals without the "robot effect" so often created with popular mass-market software. Need a harmony track? No need to hire a singer ... we can create flawless harmonies right in our studio. We'll precisely lock your vocals to the beat, without editing artifacts.
Listen to the improvement expert tuning and timing correction can make in the player below.
A note about instrumental tuning: We can tune monophonic instrumentation (like a single vocal, a bass line, lead guitar line, violin, or one-handed pianist). However, if one note in a chord is flat, tuning that note will tune the entire chord, not a desirable result. While chord-tuning technology isn't yet available, timing adjustments can easily be made on an instrument track.

About Tuning Special FX
Pop, hip-hop and rock producers often use tuning techniques to create interesting vocal effects. Listen to pop artist Chris Brown, hip-hop rapper Lil' Wayne, Kid Rock and Cher (who catapulted this idea) and you'll hear this effect. You can have it, too!
In Song 4, listen for the answer back of "Baby, I can see" and the dropoff at the end of "missing."
